Life is a journey with many roads and obstacles to go through. Each experience traveled serves a purpose. Some teach lessons that may align us to what I believe is for our purpose. Some people may or may not know their purpose, interest, or even desires easily. There are others who are fully aware, either way that’s ok.
The fact that you are reading this, maybe a sign for you to establish or reestablish your life and build towards your future. You can start your own chapter right now. Here are a few tips that I have found to help me. This may help to get you going to restart and build towards your future too. Hopefully you’ll find these ideas useful and helps you develop your greater self.
1. Be Positive-Change of Mindset
No matter what you do in life, everything begins in the mind. Begin with a clear mental note. Letting go of any external effects that has caused negative thinking from any situation. This can be a simple process or it may take time and requires a lot of practice and patience.
You have to be positive and have a change of mindset. Having a positive attitude will empower you to become the greater version of yourself. This will also be more effective at a higher rate. This is not a race but a journey or a process you’re working to get through.
Keep in mind, this doesn’t prevent challenges, but it’ll help you to embrace them. You’ll become resilient, more determine to keep on going, more motivated, and be willing to discipline yourself as you go along your path.
2. Identify-Knowing Who You Are
Knowing who you are and what you like or dislike is very important. Especially if you’re a people pleaser. Taking the time to research or relearn yourself is absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed doing this, although at times it was certainly a struggle. If you are constantly on the go, doing so much either for yourself, work, others, etc. You deny the time and space for you, self nurture, self love, etc.
Here’s something I found to be nothing short of the truth. Because you lack the time and poorly manage your time for yourself, is why you’re in this position.
This is a great time to set goals as you try to explore your options. This helps you make better decisions. You’ll start to find great ideas or plans coming to you the more efforts you give. Then soon you’ll notice you’re getting closer to your results. You’ll begin to feel more confident in making healthier, intellectual, and empowering decisions.
If you already know what your interests are. I would suggest to learn more about it and work towards improvement. Learn the ins and outs and master your desire, skill, hobby, technique, etc. This could be relating to you being a mom, a dad, etc. Whatever it is, do what you can to be really good at it.
As you getting closer into your identity. You’ll begin to recognize how much easier it is to do the things you like to do. You’ll develop a passion. You will find more pleasure and creativity in doing the things that makes you happy that puts you at ease. That makes you feel good.
If you don’t have the financials. Keep researching and learning for free until you have other resources to invest further into yourself.
Your surrounding, people, etc will begin to change and it will feel natural. Things will flow that are more meaningful for you. Things will find it’s way out that doesn’t serve you. You’ll be willing to let go of the things that doesn’t make you feel good. This might be easy and obvious to you right away. Or it might not b/c it will feel uncomfortable based on you not being used to it.
Either way your journey flows, keep this in mind. Things may not happen all at one sitting nor over night. Be patient and allow time.
3. Research
We’ve come so far in this planet and things are constantly changing. Due to our way of life today. We are living in a world open to technology and it is always increasing. Cultures are becoming more relatable b/c we live and grow in a diverse universe. We are learning more about each other, each other’s interest, as well as the earth, and the life living within it.
With access to the internet, you can research all sorts of possible options for you to explore. There’s so much information out there it can be overwhelming. They’re times when you may have to detach and unplug to breathe, focus, and gain clarity. With the internet being so open and worldwide, millions of people share facts, opinions, and it is readily available to access anytime.
As you research, seek from creditable sources with valuable information in the particular area you are seeking for your desires. Test things, try different options, ask around to others. Obtain as much as you can to validate its truth. The intention here is to constantly seek out as many potential opportunities for you to explore and know more of what maybe the next possible options for you to embrace.
4. Learn or Develop the Skill
With free platforms from social media like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, social groups, communities, etc. You can gain the information needed for little to no money at all. Keep in mind this is a wide database. If you decide to go in that direction, this may take more of your time. You will be seeking through a diversified amount of resources to collect information. Some may be legit and some may not. This is a great option to cut cost and still be effective for training, learning, and developing a skill.
If you really want this, you’ll be willing to spend the time to learn and figure it out. There are other options for you to help get the process going much sooner. These options may require you to pay for services.
Use all the tools you need to help you restart and build towards your future. This is investing in yourself, see below for info about this.
You could also research and learn of other ways to further develop or advance your skills. Maybe you’ll need to go back to school or etc. Take courses, classes, certification, etc. This process should be apart of your research phase. By knowing the requirements of what it takes or what it’ll cost is necessary in helping you make a better and healthier decision.
5. Self-Investment
Another alternative that will save you time, money, and build towards your future plans for success is to invest in yourself. Taking advantage if possible to research for mentors, coaches, webinars, sign up for classes, courses, and etc to help you along the way. Learn from the many of those that have came before us and has paved the way for us to learn, know, and understand better ways to achieve and enjoy this thing called life.
There’s a saying that goes “you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.” If the desire you’re are seeking to accomplish has already been created you don’t have to waste much time to create what has already been done. If the process has already been done. The simplicity is for you to learn about it. Then seek ways to improve your desires for yourself and your well being.
6. Discipline-Create a System
Discipline is a true action that will help you get through this journey or anything in life pretty much. Without true discipline and dedication, it is possible. However, you’ll take much longer and generate more challenges along the way.
Creating a system or a process such as routines, developing habits, having goals, structure, etc. These are a few examples you can implement for mental, financial, spiritual, and physical development for success. It’s like having a blueprint or a manual with all the information needed for you with a step by step process or guide. Planning and being organized, setting good habits will help to keep you on track. This has been a huge help overall.
This is the part that may not be easy. It is vital to know, accept, and understand for you to be prepared and not give up. You can’t give up! You MUST stay on course to become a greater version of yourself, you have to make your decisions firm and stick to what you want or what you believe in.
Once you begin, at first you may or may not notice anything too different or significant. Keep going, once you notice things slightly changing as you continue working towards making improvements. You’ll gradually begin to see results. The more you push on, the more you’ll become more determined and motivated to keep on going.
7. Consistency
Everyday is a chance to follow through. It is also an opportunity to follow up with deeds, goals, task, priorities that needs to be accomplished and staying on top of them. Being discipline goes in hand with consistency. By staying on top of your desires helps you to be focused to achieve your goals. With consistency you’ll have an easier time maintaining your desires and having them accomplished.
8. Network-Communication Skills
Apart of this wonderful planet we live in. We have each other. By connecting with others we can build friendships, relationships, connections, and etc with people from across the world. Using communication skills help improve our conversations with the way you speak, etc. This will encourage you and you’ll gain confidence. We can learn from each other and explore other possibilities. Be willing to hear others more. Pay attention for clues or ideas that could possibly help you.
When beginning your journey. You may not be in a place to easily be open and socialize or communicate with others. That’s fine, it’s what you’re allowing space for in your life that brings you comfort and ease.
9. Self Reflect-Embrace and Reward
The more you go, the more you grow and vice versa. For every milestone met especially major ones with challenges. Do a little self reflection and reward yourself for your accomplishments.
As you move on and further develop, you might find yourself more at ease accomplishing task. Or you might not. The intention is to keep going no matter what. If you mess up, get back up again. As many times as necessary to build and get to a place where you’re momentum automatically keeps you going. This is your motivation that interest you to continue. Each step you make will align/ draw you another step closer, and another, and another until you get close enough to achieve your desires.
Here’s a great time to reward your self to a treat. Maybe to yourself, maybe to whatever your desires are for. Embrace your journey and fulfill it best for you. Whatever you do, make the effort to feel good about yourself, your environment, your energy, your time, and your accomplishments.
