or Not to resolute
What do you think is the best decision? I’ll leave it up to you to decide, hopefully after reading this article it will give you an insight.
Do you think if I didn’t post this blog right in the beginning of the year. Would it matter if all you desired for is change? What is the point of being motivated for a New Year Resolution if you give up right after the first few days or weeks into the “New Year”?!?!
Every year as we set plans to start the New Year. We find ourselves putting the plans aside that did not go into effect. Sometimes, we end up recommitting those same desires having the same intention to plan again for the next new year.
We are willing to try, but often times find ourselves repeating the same old patterns over and over again and again.
This is why I personally prefer that, even if you’ve missed starting at the beginning of the New Year. I am grateful to have the opportunity to start at any time or day of the year. It’s great that you can just get started right away.
What I have found is, nothing is wrong with setting a New Year Resolution or a new year’s goal. But keep in mind, the most effective thing to do is to set goals you’d like to accomplish at any given time.
Creating Fitness Goals
As I step into this beautiful newness of my life. I’m also taking on a new lifestyle approach having health, spiritual, and physical goals. I have found taking the time to enjoy the process and watching changes unfold, helps me subside the matter of the process and I feel more at ease.
When I’m creating my fitness goals, I consider doing so in moderation and durations. I consider creating short term or long term goals and so on. If you’re just getting started, I recommend taking the time to build momentum. It helps with consistency.
I for one believe, this is your journey, your walk, and your desire. Do so as you please and go at your own pace.
To accomplish fitness goals, you can get started instantly. For some, getting started might be as simple as a shift of the mind. You can set your intentions for the desired outcome and let it take its place.
Especially if you’re someone who’s not familiar with healthy habits or a holistic/spiritual approach. If you find that this maybe challenging for you. You can find other resources that are available to you for further assistance. There’s plenty of ways to help you get information about having a healthy lifestyle.
I highly highly suggest you do your research.

Be that in Life, Light, and Love!
This journey is for me to develop a lifestyle entirely to gain balance for me me physically, mentally, and spiritually. I plan to regain my life, surrendering my body, mind, and soul as a sacred temple.
Over the last several years of my life, I have had wavering experiences of roller coaster rides incorporating fad diets. Fad diets in general, helps to reduce body fat by eliminating one of the food groups or acquiring options for faster results. But this isn’t the most healthiest way to acquire the mind, body, and soul.
My early college years, I was able to drop down 50lbs from my weight. I have been able to keep it off for over 15yrs and keeping myself down in size. But, I lacked the consistency of having a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Confidence
During those years, I have been up and down healthy here and unhealthy there. I binged ate on foods then at some point, I lost touch w/ the desire to cook home so eventually I ate out a lot. During that period of my life I devoted none of my time to understand and gain awareness to how true the potentials, benefits, and intentions are for having a healthy mind, body, and soul.
My Definition of Beauty
At that time, my primary focus was just loose weight and I try to look sexy. I mean like, I was trying to keep up with the images we all see on t.v., the magazines, and etc. Now, I am so grateful b/c those images of me were portraying a sense of false identity. I have come into a state of being content with myself and my body just the way I am.
Don’t get me wrong, if I desire to enhance or improve for whatever reason. I believe in the freedom of choice, for there absolutely there’s no shame in that. But as of now, I’m loving the way I am. I’m enjoying myself flaws and all.
There was a period where I was ashamed. I was ashamed of the marks on my body and felt that not even facial wise I had anything near beauty. My marks has defined me. I’m a beautiful women who took the initiates to take better care of me. My 500struggles no longer exists. I’m embraced by the love I give to me and the beauty my creator has given me. The time I take to validate me I am worth and a super special human being.
Self-Confidence
Now, I define my own way of beauty. To me, it is the soul!! Flaws and all. I care less of what others think. I am concerned for myself, the well being of others, animals, and the earth. I wasn’t so clear on that before.
Now coming into a true understanding of life, the importance of our health, the importance of our mind, body, and soul. I am definitely taking this turn for good to nurture, be impactful in this course of life.
Beauty to me is the essence of our being. It’s the inner and outer core of the things we do, the things we say, the way we act, and how we live.
I enjoyed for years the pleasure of smoking, drinking, partying, and doing all kinds of things that emotionally, physically, and spiritually useless. I became a humbled from trying to keep up w/ the world. I became humbled leaving the desire for material things to careless of it and beauty more of life. I was never one who’d walk around to boast or brag, but I felt privileged to acquire “the look” that I had.
But what I found was, the world had left me an care for me. No, there were no more friends that I could hang around with, no more more chill spots, no nothing. They had all disappeared.
Furthermore b/c of such, I did many thing’s that powered me up egoistically. Now, it is my destiny to live a life giving back to the earth and having more of a healthy, happy, and wholesome lifestyle.
I got to say tho, from that negative journey. It has led me to the point where I won’t complain about much no more. Nope, I’m actually grateful for all of the things I’ve been through. It has definitely humbled me in significance and has taught me so much. Now, I’ve found myself feeling, healing, and being more grateful than I have ever experienced my whole life. It makes me cry ever time, I look back over my life and yet I’m so young.
I am in total agreement with Just Kadia. I’m living and being ME. That’s so powerful to me, if you only knew. I feel so free and relieved of all my past hurt and pain.
So b/c I’m living and healing walking into the newness of my life. It’s time to do some self-repairs and power back up my life following a much more healthier approach.
I’ll be using this time space and opportunity to not only help myself. But my compassion has always been in life to help others do the same. I thought it would be helpful to share this to help encourage anyone that desires to change their life. A change to improve for the greater good mentally, physically, and spiritually for themselves to be better for others as well as the earth.
As I mentioned in my post what for what fitness all about, please if you haven’t already take your time to read it click here.
It will help shed some light of the importance of fitness and why we should truly take it into consideration. It also talks about making fitness plans. Having a fitness plan gives an idea of what your interests and desires are is help you stay on track and achieve success. Like any other thing in life. We need to implement plans that will guide you through your journey and help you get to were you want to be.
Setting Up Plans
The purpose of a plan is guidance, to refrain you from failure. Scheduling gym time or a work-out program as well as planning and scheduling daily meals. These are two very important factors that helps you stay on track. It also helps you monitor how well you’re progressing within your journey.
I will be using a meal planner journal and track my progress. Here’s what I’ll be using definitely recommend you getting one. If you don’t have one feel free to simply use a notebook. But if you have an interest to purchase one, here’s something I recommend. I recommend this one b/c, I think it’s fairly inexpensive, it’s really cute, and it has everything you need already prewritten out for you to keep track each day and week. It has examples and suggestions that will help you get organized and keep track of your entire journey for a year. Feel free to click here to purchase if you’re interested.
How you create your plan depends on how well or how much time you are willing to put out during the week. You should understand how much effort is required for you to meet your demands. Again, this is why it is so important for you to know what you’re doing. By doing so, do your research.
A Word for New Fitness Beginners
As beginners it’s absolutely essential to take it slow. As your body adjusts and gets familiar, easy, or comfortable to your workouts. Then gradually increase your intensity to improve your strength and endurance. It is also extremely vital to incorporate stretching. This is seriously key, I didn’t take that too seriously when I initially lost weight. Over time I have found stretching to be key for helping to elongate the body and build incredible flexibility.
Not only that, stretching also helps avoid having added stress to your body allowing the body to recover, regain, and rebuild strength? Excessive training and lack of proper nutrition can cause fatigue and lead to weight gain. The point is, take your time, carefully listen your body as you go along with everything. Your body will talk to you, it has the ability to let you know if you’re over doing it or something is wrong.
Listen to Your Body
Please, this is important on so many levels. Do your own research, be sure to consult with your physician to be sure of any health condition or concerns.
Here are just a few signs that will help you to know if you’re pushing yourself too hard:
- Exercise leaves you exhausted instead of energized
- You feel sick easily
- Unable to sleep or can’t get enough rest
- May have a short fuse
- Regularly sore for days at a time
- You have the blues
- Feeling heavy legs
If you’re planning for high intensity work-outs, it is recommended to follow a routine of a 2-3 days per week. This form of exercise can easily be overwhelming to the body. Keep in mind, this form of regimen requires a recovery period of 3-7 days as it exerts the body in a constant motion.
It’s very important to fuel up on protein and having an adequate amount of good carbs and fats. It is just as much important to stay hydrated. Water helps to flush out toxins in the body and helps to eliminate waste.
These are only a few tips to get you going, don’t wait another day…get ready, set, go, and let’s start planning now.

Great tips. I do agree that as a beginner you have to take it slow or else you’ll become overwhelmed and discouraged.

Interesting read! I like how you talk about being able to start right away. It can be so easy to keep coming up with excuses for ourselves and pushing off our goals but you’re right on point that we need to stop doing that. I think it’s important we all start taking better care of ourselves now, no more waiting.
